SKI TOURING

The La Rosière – Espace San Bernardo ski area can offer you 3 permanent ski touring routes. These 3 marked ski touring routes enable beginners to discover the sport and to improve seperate from the Alpine skiing pistes; skiers only take them to ski down.

For a different way of exploring the mountains in complete safety don't hesitate to take a guide or instructor or to ask for advice from our piste rescue patrols about conditions on the ascent.

NB : Using these routes are entirely on the skier's responsability.

For your safety

  • It is forbidden by local by-law to go uphill on touring skis on the Alpine skiing pistes (during the opening hours of the ski area and outside the opening hours of the ski area). Except between 5.00 and 8.00 pm on the "Fontaine Froide" piste, access to the ski pistes after 5.00 pm is formally forbidden to all users: risk of collision with a piste-grooming machine or its winch cable.
  • Don't forget to check in advance whether the ski touring pistes are open as the pistes are likely to be closed if weather or snow conditions so require.
  • The triptych « AVD, shovel, probe » is strongly recommended when using these routes.
