Skiing in Italy

Specific rules for the Italian ski area

To ski in the La Thuile area in Italy, it is mandatory to carry a valid ID and liability insurance.
For off-piste skiing, the “AVALANCHE BEACON, SHOVEL, PROBE” set is required.
Snowscoots are strictly prohibited.

New law in effect in Italy for Winter 2025-26

Wearing a helmet is mandatory for ALL skiers and snowboarders, without exception, on all Italian slopes.
